Final #1

I clicked on the secondlife link at web3dchat. I chose an avatar then proceeded to download the windows version of the secondlife software. I save it to my c/drive and an icon automatically appeared on my desktop. I then log into secondlife and walked around a bit. Above are screenshots of where I navigated.

There is a new king in poker!! Click on the cropped image above to view the original article in its entirety. What I did was find the article, save it to paint, and then uploaded it to my blog. I then inserted a hyperlink to the image.

MIDTERM #4

I first chose my avatar and copied his url by right-clicking on his image and then pasting that url in place of the default avatar's url by double-clicking on my 3D name. Then I took a screen shot, pasted it in Adobe Photoshop, cropped it, and text.

MIDTERM #10

Here is a picture of a house drawn in word. I used texture, patterns, auto shapes, and instersted text. In order to upload it to my blog, I had to copy and paste the image to paint and then save it as a JPEG to my desktop.

MIDTERM #9

In class I used microsoft word to create the image above. I used the format auto shape to bring the options. I added texture, pictures, and text to each of the autoshapes.

Resizing/Pasting

In paint I used the stretch & skew under images. I made the coffe cup smaller and then cropped it removing all of the grey. I then copied and pasted

color ramp jpeg

These are the jpeg images. Notice how the colors bleed into each other.

color ramp gif

These are photos of gif images. There borders are crispre and cleaner than those of the jpegs.

In Class Red-Eye Paint

In class I redid the assignment using paint rather than GIMPshop. There is a significant difference between these pictures whereas the GIMPshop photos were quite similar.

Red-eye Image Format

jpeg

png

original jpeg

It appears as though all three formats removed the red-eye equally as well. the quality of the rest of the picture also seems to be the same in all three formats.

MIDTERM #3

In this exercise I saved and uploaded the same image in three different formats; jpeg (top), gif (middle), and png (bottom). It seems to me that the jpeg has more vibrant darker colors whereas the lighter colors are more vibrant in the png. The gif image seems to be somewhere in between the two.

MIDTERM #2

In this photo I used the select region tool in GIMPshop. It allowed me to select a rectangular region, white it out, and then add text. It also allowed me to choose font size, type, and color. I also used the move selections/layers tool to center my text in the selected region.

MIDTERM #1

In this photo I removed red eye using GIMPshop. First I use the eye drop to capture the pixels surrounding the red eye and the I used the paintbrush with those pixels to cover/remove the red eye.

CNET Tools

Hello, group.

The best bitmap editing tool is paint.net. It is very similar to adobe photoshop and therefore it is quite simple to use. The best gif animation tool is screencapture. Although it is different from adobe photoshop and difficult to use at first, its capabilities seem endless.
